Preserving the Magna Carta

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) isn’t just a watchdog for maintaining correct measurement standards.  They also develop new technologies to assist industries as diverse as medicine to manufacturing.

Recently, NIST collaborated with the National Archives to design a new case to preserve a seven hundred year old copy of the Magna Carta.  You can watch the process below.

The 1297 copy of the Magna Carta will be on display in the U.S. National Archives Building in Washington, D.C. starting this month.
